An otolaryngologist is a physician who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders related to the ears, nose, throat, head, and neck.
An audiologist is a professional with a masters or doctoral degree who specializes in the evaluation and rehabilitation of hearing impairment.
Patients are referred to Accutec Hearing Center by physicians, schools, industry, health care and social service agencies. However, patients can refer themselves or friends and relatives. If you would like more information or an appointment,

The team approach of Dr. Scott Busch, a board certified ear, nose, and throat physician, and Michelle, M.A., C.C.C. and Elena, M.A., C.C.C., licensed clinical audiologists and hearing aid dispensers, allows each patient the comprehensive care and caring that every person needs.
Hearing loss can occur slowly and painlessly, and unknowingly cause significant problems in communication with family, friends, and co-workers. In infants and young children hearing loss can significantly affect language development and learning.

How is my hearing tested?
The audiologist will use state of the art equipment to measure your ability to hear different pitches of sound and to understand speech. Testing is performed in sound treated booth and earphones are place over your ears so
each ear can be tested separately.
After testing, the audiologist will explain the type and degree of hearing loss you may have.
What happens if a hearing aid is recommended?
A hearing aid should be purchased only after
a thorough ear examination and hearing test.
If a hearing aid is recommended, you will have
a trial period so that you and the audiologist
can work together to give you the best
hearing possible.
